page 9 at the mermaid

One of the books that our librarian threw out was about William Shakespeare.  He actually hung out at a bar called "the mermaid".  He would listen in on conversations and write about what he heard.  I'm sure it was a pretty bawdy place to hang out and the writing on the bathroom walls probably left a lot to be desired.  I found some great mermaid art in the book and decided to write my own sayings on the walls of the bathroom!  You will notice that there is a shoe charm hanging off the page.  What a useless object for a mermaid to own!
