painting lettering
sometimes you just want to say how you feel. Your Journal is just that...a Journal. it should have personal expressions on every page. You never have to show these to any one. Of course, they are so wonderful, you probably should. Say it with decorative letters. I usually write my word or words in regular writing keeping some space between letters. I then draw a space around the line and start painting. you will notice that my stars are not perfect but become stars after the paint has dried and I use a sharpie to "control" the paint. I like to look up graffiti letters, pop art letters to give me ideas for each page. In the end, my handwriting is good to use as well...no matter how awful you think your handwriting is.
I started this page by using paint and stencils to make "visual noise" in the shape of the American flag. I then used masking tape to cover the noise so that I had "white" stripes. there must have been some news story that set me off about how selfish we Americans have become...not sure. I had some star stickers laying around and plastered the page. I do put glue under my stickers and tapes when I use them. I don't want time to make them fall out. you never know how the glue on the bottom of these stickers will last over time.
